Is posting really free?
Yes. Describing your car, setting your budget, and naming the finder's fee costs nothing. Your fee is only ever secured after a car has been found — there is nothing to pay upfront, ever.
What is the €2,500 deposit?
A refundable retainer that proves your search is real. It is credited in full against the finder's fee when your car is delivered, and refunded in full if no conforming car is found within the term.
When do I pay the finder's fee?
The fee only ever leaves your hands in stages that protect you. The €2,500 deposit secures your search; when a conforming car is found and you proceed, the balance is secured with Chasseur before you're introduced — and it's only released to the finder on a completed delivery. If the sale falls through, the balance comes back to you.
Who are the finders?
Vetted dealers, brokers, and private collectors across Europe. Every finder is approved personally before they can see your search, and both sides stay anonymous to each other until a match is confirmed.
How is the fee set?
You choose it — anywhere from 2% to 20% of your budget, with a minimum of €2,500. A higher fee simply means more finders pick up your search first; the split is published either way.
What happens when a car is found?
A Chasseur specialist confirms the car genuinely matches your spec, then shares the photos and details with you. Once your fee is secured, you are introduced to the finder who sourced it.
What stops a buyer from finding the car themselves from the photos?
Until you are introduced, you only see watermarked, metadata-stripped, reduced-size copies of the photos — and the car's country, never its exact location. The originals and the full details unlock once the introduction is made. And no, we don't pretend to detect AI images — vetted finders, proof-of-access review by our team, and a fee that only moves on delivery are what make faking pointless.
Can I cancel?
Yes. You can withdraw your search at any time, and your deposit is refunded — unless a conforming car has already been presented to you within the term.
